In context • Continued reductions in overall crime – 1,260 fewer crimes than the same period last year • Serious acquisitive crime – 14.5% reduction compared with the same period last year • Domestic burglary – performance AMBER this quarter, but overall slight reduction this year (2.8%) • Vehicle crime – performance GREEN all year, over 330 fewer crimes this year • Serious violent crime – challenging 10% reduction target being held but performance RED this quarter • Domestic abuse – a sanction detection rate of over 57% achieved this quarter • Hate crime – raising confidence in reporting in means that Salford has the second highest reporting rate across GMP
