Aims & Objectives Why? • Re-cap prior learning of key terms/areas covered last lesson. • Introduce Facebook and the idea that platforms are beginning to exist inside this platform. • How advertising and the power of it’s users have created different forms of advertising – e.g “Sponsored stories” • How “Prosumer” driven media is shaping the social and commercial landscape – How are big brands reacting to this? • Review the learning. • AO1 • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of media concepts, contexts and critical debates, using terminology appropriately and with accurate and coherent written expression.

  4. Re-cap what you already know! • YOU MUST fill in the blanks of key ideologies/terms that we covered last lesson. • YOU COULD write down other key terms/theory from the booklet you were given last lesson OR contribute your own case study examples to the rest of the class!

YOU MUST complete the work sheet you have been given and answer the questions as you watch the extract. YOU COULD be asked to feedback your analysis to the rest of the class.

  12. Facebook – Pro’s & Cons. Based on the video watched today, complete a list of the Pro’s & Cons associated to Facebook. YOU SHOULD upload this onto the Facebook page Due: Thursday 8th March (Next lesson)
