Summary Public focus on the Year of the NCO started after October 2008 meeting: CSM Dennis M. Carey, USA FORSCOM CSM, November 2008 & SMA Kenneth O. Preston, February 2009 Secondary public focus in outlaying areas: a. subchapter level membership meeting held in Milledgeville with 300 attendees, b. campus visits to six college ROTC battalions, c. embrace the recruiter program involved awards of AUSA long sleeve shirts at the stations. Chapter focus from installation support to area support to reflect the impact of BRAC thus reaching untapped 14,000 reserve component. Deliberate strategy to encourage and mentor ROTC units to establish AUSA ROTC Companies with support from the Chapter. Provide deliberate outreach to veterans for membership.
Future/Conclusion Focus on the high deploying reserve components. Mentor the ROTC towards AUSA ROTC Company status Embrace Army Recruiting Command Support reserve component post deployment challenges Employ the membership in building/sustaining programs
