  3. Atlanta Chapter VP • Elected Tim Romashko as replacement Chapter Vice President by vote of the officers. • Position holds for remainder of term, until November 2015. • Fresh elections for all officers will occur in September of 2015.

  4. Upcoming Events • Dixie Crow Symposium 39: “21st Century Mission Success through ISR and Legacy EW Integration” – 23-27 March 2014, Museum of Aviation at Robins AFB. • AUVSI Show 2014 – 12-15 May 2104, Orlando Convention Center. • AUVSI Show 2015 – April 2015, Atlanta Georgia World Congress Center.

Unmanned Ag Conference • Success despite weather. • 67 attendees increased to 81 from last year. • Great discussions covering: • Unmanned Aerial System Law • Workforce Development for Unmanned Systems • Technological Hurdles of Farm Environments • Presentations posted to: http://www.auvsi.org/Atlanta/archives/conferencepresentations/usag2014

  6. Unmanned Ag Committee • Formation of Committee to: • Plan next year’s Unmanned Ag outreach • Conferences • Exhibits (Sunbelt Expo?) • Demonstrations • Network and support Ag community requests on unmanned systems technology • Bring in speakers on Unmanned Ag

NTSB Case Drop • Raphael Pirker, who had been docked $10,000 by the Federal Aviation Administration for using a drone to shoot a promotional video, won dismissal yesterday of the fine for reckless flying. An administrative law judge determined the FAA had no authority over small unmanned aircraft when it imposed the first-ever such fine on a drone operator.

  8. NTSB Case Drop • Case was specifically about reckless flying of Unmanned Systems. • Judge ruled that FAA did not regulate small unmanned aerial systems flying under hobby restrictions. • FAA Responded with Busting UAS Myths: http://www.faa.gov/news/updates/?newsId=76381
