  3. How do trends hold here? They will hold pretty much the same way – seeing shifts left, right, up, down and seeing changes in periodicity.

  4. Basic Truths The period of both y = sec x and y = csc x is 2π. (makes sense, right?) The period of y = tan x and y = cot x is π. We really don’t talk about amplitude of these four functions.

  6. Graphing CSC x and Sec x • Csc is the opposite of Sin • Sec is the opposite of Cos • We will use the sin and cos graph to help us graph Csc and Sec. • Csc will have Asymptotes when Sin=0 • Sec will have Asymptotes when Cos=0
