  16. Mankind becomes addicted or enslaved to sin: • \ • Alcoholics –I Cor. 6:10 nor drunkards • Drug addicts – ICor.6:19,20 ‘temple” • Sex offenders -Gal.5:19-21 • Liars –Rev. 21:8 • Thieves – ICor. 6:10 nor thieves • Profanity-filthy communication.Col.3:8

  20. Real Freedom Is In CHRIST Free from Mosaic Law • No longer in force • Acts 15:10 – Yoke not able to bear • It could not atone for sin • In Christ we are freed from that law of sin and death • Christ is the atonement for all our sins

  21. Real Freedom Is In CHRIST • Not free from all things • That would be lawlessness • 1 John 3:4 Sin is transgression • True freedom is recognizing we have limits

Real Freedom Is In CHRIST In Bondage to Christ • Titus 1:1 “Paul, a bondservant of God…” • James 1:1 “James, a bondservant of God….” • 2 Peter 1:1 “Simon Peter, a bondservant…. • Romans 6:18 “And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.” • Romans 6:22 (ESV) “But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life.” Slave

Stand Fast in the Liberty “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.” Gal. 5:1 Stand Fast 1 Cor. 16:13 “stand fast in the faith” Phil. 1:27 “stand fast in one spirit” Phil. 4:1 “Stand fast in the Lord” Stand Firm – To be stationary - to Persevere

  26. Obedience to Law is Liberty

  27. All Must Obey…not just a few! • All have sinned. You and I are no different from others. • What matters is what we do with our sins? • Will we obey the Lord…confess them, • And pray for God’s forgiveness. I John 1:9 • Example: Simon. Pray for me. Acts 8:24
