Phase 1 • Punchlist – Ongoing (VDOT, WMATA, and Fairfax County) • Fairfax County 274 items, ~30 open • Most to be addressed by the end of 2016 • Old Meadow Road Realignment • Significant number of VDOT items remain • Phase 2 • Total Project Status (all bid packages) • Overall Project – 33% • Design – 98% • Construction – 19% • Highlights • Herndon, Innovation Center and Airport Stations under construction • Aerial Guideway at Dulles Airport under construction • Rail Yard at Dulles Airport under construction • Herndon and Innovation Center garages will be bid this fall and • Budget - $2.778B • Total Contingency - $551.M (Remaining $475.3M) Silver Line Status Report

Silver Line Phase II Garages • Herndon Station • 2,006 parking spaces • Pedestrian &vehicular connections to the existing parking garage • Pedestrian and bicycle amenities • Future Transit Oriented Development (TOD) on the west side • Stormwater pond modifications to accommodate new facility and regulations • Road widening and improvements on site and on Sunrise Valley Drive • Additional access road from Sunrise Valley Drive to the existing garage • Existing garage modifications to accommodate the bridge connections from the new garage, new pedestrian path to Metro elevator, accessible parking spaces, addition of revenue collection system and IT rooms for security equipment

Silver Line Phase II Garages • Site and building plan permit reviews in process • Construction start in fall 2016 and completion in winter 2019 • Ongoing coordination with MWAA for construction interface on garage, Metrorail facilities, road improvements, bus and vehicular operations during construction • FCDOT scope of additional work for overall site improvements being reviewed for incorporation into scope

Herndon Garage Budget/Schedule • Total Project Estimate $56.7 million $7.8 million funded to date $48.9 million funding balance • Schedule Design: June 2014 – December 2015 Permitting: September 2015 – August 2016 Bid: June – July 2016 Construction Award: October 2016 Construction: November 2016 – February 2019 Ready for Occupancy: Spring 2019

Innovation Center Station Garage • 2,070 spaces • Pedestrian and bicycle amenities • Real estate exchange and development agreement with Rocks Engineering for joint development • Integration with the overall site with the private development • Shared infrastructure design and construction for the garage, retail, residential and office development • The overall partnership project includes the design and construction of roads, stormwater management, plaza, and other amenities for the 15-acre TOD • Design Development phase and Value Engineering Complete • VE recommendation approved to raise garage above grade, required PCA/FDPA • PCA/FDPA approved by Board in February 2016

Innovation Center Station Garage • Garage design process currently at 50% Construction Documents phase • Site Permit package is currently under review • Building permit application in July 2016 • Real Estate Exchange and Reciprocal Easement Agreements were final in March 2016 • Infrastructure construction in progress with rock blasting & removal • Common infrastructure project to provide a clear, rough graded, pre-blasted “garage site” for County – Scheduled for Fall 2016 • Onsite coordination and cooperation will be required as MWAA will be working on County parcel and Nugget will be working on neighboring parcels and roads

Innovation Center Budget/Schedule • Total Project Estimate $57.4 million $14.4 million funded to date $43.0 million funding balance required • Schedule Design: August 2014 – November 2016 PCA to Raise Garage: February 2016 Real Estate Exchange: March 2016 Permitting: January 2016 - October 2016 Bid: November 2016 – December 2016 Construction Award: February 2017 Construction: March 2017- March 2019 Occupancy: Spring 2019

Herndon Metrorail Station Access Management Study • Similar to Reston effort • Area around Herndon and Innovation Center Metrorail Stations • Identified multimodal challenges and possibilities around stations • Looking at missing links and needed pedestrian and bicycle connections • Funding allocated • FCDOT prioritizing projects • Board approved projects • Scoping underway Department of Transportation 11

Improvements to Route 28 • Northern Virginia Transportation Authority allocated funding to multiple projects in the Route 28 corridor with HB 2313 revenues • FY 2014 priorities included two construction projects on Route 28 • Widen from 6 to 8 Lanes SB (Dulles Toll Road to Route 50) • Widen from 6 to 8 Lanes NB (McLearen Road to Dulles Toll Road) • Construction activities underway • FY 2015-16 priorities included design found for widening Route 28 from the Prince William line to New Braddock Road. • Survey work underway • Other projects in Loudoun and Prince William Cos. New Reston Comprehensive Plan • Since February 2014, County staff has been working to implement the comprehensive plan amendment for Reston • Network Analysis • Funding Plan • Advisory Group providing input • Tier I and II mitigation applied • Working on Tier III mitigation • Initial funding suggestions developed • Public meeting on June 27; Hunter Mill District Office; 7 p.m. Department of Transportation 13
