Millennium JAR Error Recommendations Coming: work on bringing the affected library's network infrastructure up to standards compliance and follow best practices. • Updating library-managed switch and firewall firmware • Ensuring DNS, DHCP, routing, vLANs, other network services are configured for better compliance with standards and best practices • Ensuring point-to-point connections are not generating excessive CRCerrors • Reduce network broadcast packet traffic, where possible • Updating local computer hardware drivers • For affected computers, replacing patch cables of unknown quality that are in the cable path from the computer to the firewall • For affected computers, replacing unmanaged 'consumer-grade' switches of unknown quality that are in the cable path from the computer to the firewall

ILS Committee Update • RFP Guidelines Reminder for All SWAN Libraries: • RFP is posted on SWAN website • If any vendors contact you or ask questions, refer to Aaron Skog • Avoid bias or giving a vendor a “leg up” • Past tactics for consortia include letters from current vendor, out-of-the-blue phone calls
