Their service rotation starts with the right back, #5. Orly receives, so their first server is right front, #1. Lineups are entered as shown. Liberos are entered next to the team name. • Eola #5 starts the game by serving a point. The starting time is entered, and the point is marked in the individual player number row and running score column. • The next serve fails to clear the net. #5’s service ends with a loss of rally (dash and bar), and we record a rally score (loss of rally) point for Orly by their next server, #1, and in their running score. Since they received the point on a loss of rally while receiving, the point is boxed in both places. • The libero enters for Eola #5, but we don’t track this on the scoresheet. • Orly #1 serves for three points (2, 3, 4) before Eola calls its first timeout. The timeout is recorded as “Tx”, and Eola’s timeout is entered with the score, 1-4. • At the end of the timeout, Eola substitutes 11 for 3. Sx 11/3 is noted in the individual score, 3 is slashed and 11 entered in Eola’s serving order, and substitute 1 is slashed for Eola. • Orly’s next serve is a loss of rally for Eola’s point 2. • Eola #12 serves two points (3, 4). On the next serve, a replay is called. “R” is entered. Eola serves another two points (5, 6). • Orly #6 slams the ball, and receives a yellow card. Y #6 (4-6) is recorded in Orly’s comments section. There is no penalty point for a yellow card. • Eola serves another point (7) before a loss of rally (Orly point 5). • Orly’s libero replaces #15 and serves three points before a loss of rally. A triangle is placed around service position 2 when the libero serves. The points (6, 7, 8) and the loss of rally go in a triangle. • Eola gets point 8 on the loss of rally. #28 serves out (Orly point 9). • Orly 50 subs for 2 (S 50/2) and serves five points (10 – 14) before losing the rally (Eola point 9). • Eola’s libero rotates to right back to serve, but loses the rally. Position 4 is triangled on contact. • Orly gets point 15 for the loss of rally. #9 serves one point before losing a rally (Eola point 10). • Eola #99 serves two points (11, 12) before getting injured. #20 is substituted for #99 (S 20/99), team sub 2. #20 serves one point (13) before losing a rally (Orly point 17). • Orly’s libero replaces #11 from the bench and attempts to serve. The scorer has the timer sound the horn when the serve is contacted because the Orly libero has already served in a different position. The wrong server violation costs Orly the rally and gives Eola point 14. • Eola #7 serves two points (15, 16). Eola #44 is then red carded, and Eola loses the rally on a penalty (P- and bar). The red card is recorded in the comments section. Orly gets penalty point 18. • Orly #6 serves two points (19, 20) before losing the rally. Since we have completed an entire rotation, the next rotation, including Eola’s rally point, should be done in red pen. • Eola #5 serves a point (18). Orly’s #6 is then issued a red card, giving Eola a penalty point (P19). Eola #5 serves another point (20), before Orly calls its first timeout (20-20). • The next serve results in a loss of rally (Orly point 21). • Orly #1 serves point 22 before a loss of rally (Eola point 21). • Eola #12 serves two points (22, 23). Point 23 is now marked on the second line in the individual score for #12. Orly calls its second timeout (22-23). • Eola #12 serves long, giving Orly its 23rd point and the serve. • Orly #15 drops the service toss for a re-serve (R-S), and then serves point 24. The scorer notifies the umpire that it is game point. • Eola takes its final timeout (23-24). • After the timeout, Orly’s libero replaces #15 and serves. A replay is declared. • The libero tosses the next serve and lets it drop. A re-serve is awarded. On the re-serve, Eola wins the rally, tying the score at 24. • Eola #28 serves for a point (25), before losing a rally (Orly point 25). • Orly #50 serves a point (26). • Orly #2 substitutes for #50 (S 2/50), the team’s second substitution. • Orly #2 serves point 27, and Orly wins 27-25. • The scorer writes the final score below the running score column. • The scorer records that the game ended at 6:45 pm. • The umpire initials in the verification box.
