Troy submits lineup in serving order with #5, right back to serve first, then 12-28-3-99-7; Avon receives and shows #1, RF, as first server with lineups submitted and entered as shown above. Libero number must be included on lineup sheet. • Troy #5 starts the set by serving a point. The starting time is entered, and the point is marked in the individual player number row and running score column. • The next serve fails to clear the net. #5’s service ends with a loss of rally (dash and bar), and we record a rally score (loss of rally) point for Avon by the next server, #1, and in team’s running score. Since Avon received the point on a loss of rally while receiving, the point is boxed in both places. • The libero enters for Troy #5, but we don’t track this on the scoresheet. • Avon #1 serves for three points (2, 3, 4) before Troy calls its first time-out. Receiving team time-out is recorded as “Tx” and Troy’s time-out is entered with the score, 1-4. • At the end of the timeout, Troy substitutes 11 for 3. Sx 11/3 is noted in the individual score, 3 is slashed and 11 entered in Troy’s serving order, and substitute 1 is slashed for Troy. • Avon’s next serve is a loss of rally for Troy’s point 2 which is boxed as shown above. • Troy #12 serves two points (3, 4). On the next serve, a replay is called. “R” is entered. Troy serves another two points (5, 6). • Avon’s #6 slams the ball, and receives a yellow card. Y #6 (4-6) is recorded in Avon’s comments section. There is no penalty point for a yellow card; “Px” indicates receiving team received warning. • Troy serves another point (7) before a loss of rally (Avon point 5). • Avon’s libero replaces #15 and serves three points before a loss of rally. A triangle is placed around service position 2 when the libero serves. The points (6, 7, 8) and the loss of rally with no triangle. • Troy gets point 8 on the loss of rally. #28 serves out of bounds (Avon point 9). • Avon’s 50 subs for 2 (S 50/2) and serves five points (10 – 14) before losing the rally (Troy point 9). • Troy’s libero rotates to right back to serve, but loses the rally. Position 4 is “triangled” on contact. • Avon gets point 15 for the loss of rally. #9 serves one point before losing a rally (Troy point 10). • Troy #99 serves two points (11, 12) before getting injured. #20 is substituted for #99 (S 20/99), team sub 2. #20 serves one point (13) before losing a rally (Avon point 17). • Avon’s libero replaces #11 from the bench and attempts to serve. The scorer alerts the R2 who whistles when the serve is contacted because the Avon libero has already served in a different position. The wrong server violation costs Avon the rally and gives Troy point 14. • Troy’s #7 serves two points (15, 16). Troy’s #28 then gets a red card/penalty. Penalty shows as P-1 followed by bar. Card is recorded in the comments section. Avon gets penalty point P18. • Avon’s #6 serves two points (19, 20) before losing the rally. Since an entire rotation has been completed, the next rotation – including Troy’s rally point – should be recorded in red pen. • Troy #5 serves a point (18). Avon’s #6 is then issued a red card, giving Troy a penalty point (Px19). Troy’s #5 serves another point (20), before Avon calls its first time-out (20-20). • The next serve results in a loss of rally (Avon point 21). • Avon’s #1 serves point 22 before a loss of rally (Troy point 21). • Troy’s #12 serves two points (22, 23). Point 23 is now marked on the second line in the individual score for #12. Avon calls its second time-out (22-23). • Troy’s #12 serves long, giving Avon its 23rd point and the serve. • Avon’s #15 drops the service toss for a re-serve (R-S), and then serves point 24.
