6. 3 types of design • Product design - The aim of product design is to create a functionality to provide benefits or the value to the user of a product. - It mostly evolve around the user flow and experiences during the life cycle of a product. - As it involves many ideas, Priority should be given in relation to promising benefits.

7. Interface design • The aim of the interface design is to translate the product design functionality to an actual product with the help of supporting materials. • It is nothing but the medium through which user experiences the product.

8. Visual design • The aim of the visual design is to convey the product quality and purpose as defined by product design • Finally it is what user sees. It mostly comes under advertising as to convey the product value

12. Entrance exam for NID • DAT - Design Aptitude Test is the entrance exam for PG & UG • M.Des. degree by NID - Ahmedabad, Bengaluru & Gandhinagar • B.Des. degree by NID - Ahmedabad • GDPD by NID - Vijayawada • Online application submission: 27th November 2015 • Admit card downloading: 24thDecember 2015 • Date of examination: 10th January 2016 • Announcement of DAT results: 5th February 2016

13. Entrance exam for NIFT • GAT (General Ability Test) & CAT (Creative Ability Test) for PG & UG • M.Des. , MFTech & MFMGMT degree • B.Des. & BFTech degree • Online application submission: 10th January 2016 • Admit card downloading: 21stJanuary 2016 • Date of examination: 14th Febraury 2016 • Announcement of DAT results: End of May / June 2016

14. Entrance exam for Architecture • The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), is conducted by National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture. The National Aptitude Test in Architecture is a national level examination for admission to undergraduate courses in Architecture • Online application submission: March / April to June 2016
