Purpose To provide information regarding VET and CRD enhancements made to SBSR software. To highlight the future directions and commitment to the software in 2011 and beyond Outline support available to schools using SBSR software.
Important Dates Week 5 User acceptance Testing 23rd February 2011 Weeks 5 to 10 Piloting by selected schools with own data in training environment Support materials developed Day 1 Term 2 Release of VET software for schools who have received training Day 1 2012 VET software released to all schools.
What is SBSR v5.0 • Ability to report VET courses and ‘Units of Competency’ • Streamlined procedure to add ‘Learning Areas ‘and VET ‘Units of Competency’ • Feed from BOS to CRD of ‘course approvals’ for schools , ‘VET Units of Competency’ & ‘VET Qualifications’ • Ability for schools to load ‘VET Student Results’ and ‘course information’ into EBOS • ‘VET Information to Parents’ page printed explaining assessments awarded • Down filling available from the enter results “by student” screen
What’s new in SBSR v5.0 – My Profile • Teachers should be encouraged to change the their preferences when using SBSRv4 • Options include: • Show codes rather than text in • tables • Timeout • Default School • Turn off “please wait guy” • Removal of SBSR screen • headers
Enter Student Results – by student Teacher data entry screens emulate the final printed report, based on options taken within the reporting period setup.
Future Directions - 2011 Priorities • Automatic importing of attendance data to SBSR • Preparation for the Australian Curriculum • Further performance improvements to SBSR
