Fire Superiority • Fire with greater effect than that of the enemy because of its greater accuracy and volume, making possible advances against the enemy without heavy losses. • Game of Chicken
Suppression • Suppressive fire is a fire that degrades the performance of a target below the level needed to fulfill its mission.
Fix • Fix is a tactical mission task where a commander prevents the enemy from moving any part of his force from a specific location for a specific period. This may occur by engaging him to prevent his withdrawal for use elsewhere, or by using deception, such as transmitting false orders.
