The Great Rummy Mystery By: Lauren Date: 1323
It was a quiet night at Kit Cat’s Gaming Tables. Kit Cat, Ian, Wesley, and myself (all regulars, except for me), were playing 500 Rummy.
Jeremiah, a worker for the hospital, got a call to go to Kit Cat`s Gaming Tables. Suddenly there was a scream! Wesley just had a Rummy win with 4 ace cards. He won 200 pennies. A.K.A. $2.00. He struck it rich! Kit Cat’s Gaming Tables
Suddenly I heard footsteps…it was Jeremiah. He can get in and out of places without being heard or seen. He came wearing his medical gloves.
I noticed him putting a band aid on Ian because he had gotten a severe paper cut from a receipt. (I know that may sound hard to believe, but paper cuts can be the worst thing in the world!)
As Wesley was using the rest room, I noticed Jeremiah sneaking up to the table where Wesley’s winnings (all $2.00) were laying out in the open.
Suddenly he ran out the door. Ian, not knowing that Wesley`s money was gone, walks over to the seat where Wesley was sitting. When Wesley came back all of his money was gone! Ian is sitting right where Wesley`s money was stacked.
Wesley called Cassie Greeg, the most trusted detective in the world. She immediately agreed to come, driving through golf ball sized hail for two hours to get to the scene of the crime.
She ran over to Wesley as soon as she got there and began to question him. Cassie interviewed Ian, Wesley, and Kit Cat too.
As Cassie was gathering evidence, she focused her questioning on Ian. Ian pleaded with Cassie that he was not the perpetrator. Cassie I’m not the perpetrator!
She remembered that she didn’t interview Jeremiah. She knew Jeremiah was at the scene, but had run out the door. That’s who did it! That’s who did it!
Cassie found Jeremiah, questioned and questioned him until he finally cracked. He returned the money to Wesley. Another great mystery solved by Cassie Greeg! I’ll admit it I stole Wesley’s money. That’s what I thought!
