When there is any kind of disruption within the chain of being, the country is in trouble and strange supernatural things may happen as a sign of disorder. Once order is restored, things get back to normal. • Elizabethans were fascinated with the supernatural!! So, they expected to see ghosts and supernatural stuff as part of the plot when they went to the theater.
