How does the media work differently than it does in the US? We start our journey by getting to know the cityscape of Berlin, we stay with host families, and we have site visits to newspapers, radio and TV stations, journalism schools and the press offices of the government. We travel by train to 3 more cities. Discussions with experts and an individually arranged site visit tailored to YOUR professional interests round out the program. Earn 3 credits of German (211 or 306), orJOUR/BCOM 481 Pre-requisites: An interest in the media and some ability in German (at least 102) Cost $2,500 plus tuition $200. Includes airfare, accommodation, entrance fees, meals, transit passes. Does not include ISIC card, insurance, 1 meal/day.
