Presentations • an introduction putting WOPs Global Alliance (WOP GA) in context was given by Bert Diphoorn • Message of Support from the Government of India • an overview and update of WOP was presented by Julie Perkins • the structure, governance and guiding principles of WOP GA were presented by Faraj El-Awar • the geo-referenced utility benchmarking system as a tool for WOPs was presented by Graham Alabaster • CAPNET, the international network for capacity building in sustainable water management, and partner of WOP GA, was presented by Kees Leendertse

Break Out Sessions onGuiding Principles and Governance and Structure On Guiding Principles – salient points • Include section on “Outcomes” • Add “Code of Conduct” – WOP is not a marketing & business development tool • Focus on improving public operator performances • Focus not only on technical aspects but also institutional and social • Broaden WOP spectrum beyond twinning
