ARENA is a European network aimed at promoting optical and infrared astronomy in Antarctica, primarily at Dome C. It involves 20 partners from 7 EU countries and Australia, and includes networking activities, site quality assessment, studies on optimization of instruments, logistics and operations, and identification of scientific programs requiring Antarctic conditions.
