  2. Goal: Improve Skills in These Areas: • Basic operations • Fractions • Decimals • Percents • Measurement • Money • Geometry • Pre-algebra

  3. Textbook • Saxon 65 • This is not the same textbook used in regular seventh grade math. I do cover as many of the seventh grade standards as possible. • Later in the year we will use the regular textbook.

  4. Typical Lesson • Each day I give a 5-10 minute mini- lesson. • Students can then practice the concept while finishing the lesson. • I assist students whenever there is a difficulty. • Every student is encouraged to use the Reference Guide. • Calculators may be used on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

  5. Grades • Each lesson must be finished with at least 96% correct. Corrections are often necessary! • Students are expected to finish a lesson every day or finish the lesson as homework. • Grades are earned by finishing lessons daily and by test scores. Planner points help to improve the grade also. • The grade is calculated as follows: 45% lessons. 45% tests. 10% planner points.
