  11. Customs, religions and ethnic groups • Religions~ Buddhist, Islamic, Jewish, Christian, Catholic • Customs~ There most popular is there food, prickly pear cactus and eggs • Ethnic~ there are a lot of American, Spanish and European people in this region.  

  12. Climate and weather patterns • Warmest and coldest states in the U.S.A • Not a lot of percepertation only about 32 inches a year

  13. Climate effect on settlement patterns In this region a lot of people are attracted to California because it is very warm and on the coast. Whereas some people may want to live in land more to be closer to the mountains.

  15. Economic Issues • The Economic Issues are that there is a lot of over population by the coast so everything goes up in price due to the over populated cities.

  16. Pollution effected lives • Pollution has effected the lives of people in this region because if the water gets polluted it could be bad for there health or air because there are so many people.

  17. Climate affected settlement • The climate has affected settlement because some people want to live closer to the coast and some people want to be father inland depending on how the like their weather.

Identify why people have chosen to live where they have in the region, how are goods transported to, within and out of region?

  19. Interesting traditions or customs • All the traditions and customs in the west are not very prominent I could not find any.

  21. People have choose to live here • People have chose to live in this region because it consists of some of the coldest and warmest states in the United States

  23. Major tourist attractions • Some of the major tourist attractions are Disney Land and that is about it.

  24. Economic Impact • The economic impact this region has on the country is that there are a lot of people that live in California and than throughout the rest of the region
