  3. What it is • Minn. Stat. § 16C.03, subd.10 • Allows eligible entities to purchase – Goods Services Utilities • Minn. Stat. § 471.59, subd. 1 (Joint Powers Agreement)

  4. Who is Eligible • Governmental Units City County Town School District Political Subdivision Licensed Non-Profit Hospital

  5. Laws of Minnesota, 2007, Chapters 83 and 101 • NEW! • Added five new categories: Certain tax exempt non-profit entities and charitable organizations Private Colleges Grant Recipients

  6. What are the Benefits • Reduces or eliminates • Product research • Writing specifications • Vendor research • Time spent on solicitation process • Process time on contract management

  10. What Membership Includes • Out of 1400 Contracts, 900 available to CPV • TYPES OF CONTRACTS Goods – Equipment, Fuel, Road Salt Services – Vehicle Rental, Training Construction – Electrical, Well Drilling

GOODS • State manages two of the largest cooperative contracts in the country • MMCAP – aggregates drug and medical supplies sales for over 4300 eligible governmental healthcare facilities in 43 states plus the City of Chicago • WSCA IT Computer, printer and LAN storage devices. 50 states and over $2.2 billion in sales

  12. MEMBERSHIP FEE • None • Valid from July 1, through June 30 • www.mmd.admin.state.mn.us
