  2. Produce:A mind-map of what we worked on, with one circle per lesson MONDAY TUESDAY WEEK TWO OF ENGLISH WITH KATE WEDNESDAY THURSDAY

  3. Monday’s class • Biographies, autobiographies (topics: Kate – teacher, Julia Gillard – ex-PM) • We started to work on producing our own autobiographies • Open and closed questions

  4. Tuesday’s class • Job titles and descriptions • Different skills – ‘head’, ‘heart’ and ‘body’ • Talking about jobs • Appropriate and inappropriate ways to introduce ourselves (Bridget Jones’ Diary)

  5. Wednesday’s class • Living spaces (apartments, girs, houses, flats) • Facilities and services • Formal and informal greetings • More sentences on ‘careers/jobs’ – previous jobs • On, in, under, by (where are objects in relation to others) • Words that mean different things but sound similar

  6. Some of Thursday’s vocabulary explicit (direct), implicit (indirect) vigilant, peer-pressure What else? Film analysis of the safety advertisement, ‘Dumb ways to die’ (Melbourne Metro) Film analysis of ‘Goofy in Teachers are People’ Peer-pressure and bullying (mind-mapping as a class)

  7. Prepare and present A theatrical production(!) which involves some of the vocabulary, themes, and environments that we have learnt this week in class.
