4. Accessibility subcommittee report – Joe Collentine and Beth Pifer - The National Federation of the Blind requested that the DOJ investigate civil rights violations committed by New York University (NYU) and Northwestern University against blind faculty and students. - The schools adopted Google Apps for Education for e-mail and collaboration. - Aspects of the suite impose barriers to screen readers. - Another letter to Google from Fred Estrella (update his 3-15-2010 letter). GMail works well in basic HTML mode Google docs interface make it hard to load documents - The university needs to be proactive about letting the faculty know about available resources.

Assessment subcommittee report – Joe Collentine and Kathy Hildebrand Issues considered so far: - Grade transfer into Blackboard - Pricing model - Business Rules - Many users (managers, teachers, students) expect automation. Student and teacher policies. Workflow - conditions and actions.
