  2. 2012 New Construction • New construction valuation for 2012 is $21,313,174. Largest single year total ever. 64 single family permits, which is about average. 81 duplex permits. $2.3 million in new commercial valuation, largest in this category since 2006.

  3. Bondurant Country Market • Store is 15,690 sq. ft. • Located between Legacy Bank & car wash • Mini Hy-Vee • Two additional store fronts, both 4,000 sq. ft. • Estimated project value is $3.5 million • Opening early 2014 • Drive up coffee window

  9. WRA Sewer Connection • Completed by end of 2013 • 36” Sewer Line • Approximately $16 million project • WRA will retain one lagoon for high flow storage • Sludge removal in 2014 • No plans for property at this time • Three lift stations removed as part of construction

  10. Hwy 65/32nd St SW Intersection Improvements • Project will include traffic signals & turn lanes • Current cost est. is $765,000 • It appears that state & federal funds will pay 80%-90% of the cost • Construction to begin later this year • Completion by mid 2014

  11. FreedomRock • To be installed June 2013 in front of American Legion Building on 2nd St NW • Bondurant is the only location in Polk Co. to receive a Freedom Rock

  12. Bondurant Regional Trailhead • Depot Grand Opening June 22 at 9:00 A.M. as part of Biking Bondu annual event • Building cost $200,000 • Total Trailhead cost around $350,000 • REAP funded most of the 2012 Trailhead Paving

  14. City Property Tax Rate Reduction The City tax rate for FY14 was reduced $.05 for the 7th consecutive year. The City anticipates another $.05 rate reduction for the FY15 budget to be adopted in March, 2014.
