Oh the joy that is ThomsonOne* • Our only source for equity and fixed income reports from a variety of sources – ex.: • Credit Suisse • JPMorgan • Globaldata, and hundreds more • But not: • BoA Merrill Lynch • Barclays Capital, some others Complete list of sources wi/ availability clearly marked** *Not. **Link to PDF in SimonExchange
Coping with ThomsonOne • Only works with Internet Explorer – up to v10 at the moment* • Enable pop-ups from amr.thomsonone.com • See complete instructions on next slide • After running a search, scroll down to see results • (Some demos) *If you are running v11, choose Compatibility under Tools
Internet Explorer. “gear” (1) choose Internet options. In that dialog box, choose Privacy...(2) 2 1 … then the Pop-up Blocker Settings button (3) 3 4 Then type in: amr.thomsonone.com & click Add (4)
But I’m a Mac user!!! Are there any alternatives to T-1? * Yes. Much more limited, but they ARE universally accessible! 4 options: 1. NetAdvantage Stock Reports • 1-page reports from S&P analysts. 2. Mergent Online Reports • From Ford Equity Research (a Mergent company) *Note: no whining. Toughen Up!
Two more: 3. Lexis/Nexis Company Lookup, then menu on left. Recommend: • Zacks Investment Research* 4. Morningstar link to Stock Analyst Reports right on main page! • Warning! Only 1 user at a time *Yes, there’s also a link called “Analyst Reports”, but beware… anything from “ReportLinker” isn’t actually available!!
