Issue: Should NBWA upgrade web –site? If we do should we pay for ability to upload directly? Background: • Original web site developed in 2001 • No records on original cost • Web site maintenance • NBWA currently budgets $3,644/ year for web site maintenance • Direct Costs include: • web site hosting- $105/year • uploading information- ~ $ 3000/year • Routine (monthly)> 75% (see 2 A-D below) ~ $2, 250/year Other-~ 25% or ~$750/year • -Indirect costs include Elizabeth’s time to set up material for uploading
Options: 1) Website Redesign: $2400(includes $800 custom design fee + $1600 to reinsert/reformat all existing content) 2) Add Administrative Content Management Modules2A) Ability to upload NBWA and Watershed Council Agendas and Minutes: $5002B) Ability to change Meeting Times and Locations: $2002C) Ability to manage Board Members and Member Agencies: $4002D) Ability to upload NBWA and Watershed Council Meeting presentations to Library: $700 : Total all 4 dynamic content modules: $1800 ( less than annual costs of ~ $2, 250) 3) 1 and 2- $ 4200 4) Status quo
Factors to consider: * Web site use * Redesign costs * Annual costs for site maintenance * Indirect costs increase slightly with option 2 • Recommendation -Option 3 with understanding that we may only proceed with option 1 ($2400) if MMWD cannot provide for additional in kind services for direct upload
