How does this vary by place and time? • What interactions occur between acts of vandalism, acts of vandalism prevention, routine activities and wider social structures?

Small numbers may be a problem • Focus groups with vignettes? • Short period of observations? • ‘Walking interviews’? • With who? community police officers, wardens, youth workers, adult graffiti writers • Visual ethnography? in different ‘hotspots’ at different times
