A Digital Document Flexible Sanitizing Scheme Takanobu Masubuchi, Mitsuyuki Takatsuka, Ryoichi Sasaki Tokyo Denki University Proceedings of the 2006 International Conference on Intelligent Information Hiding and Multimedia Signal Processing Adviser: 鄭錦楸 ,郭文中 教授 Reporter: 林彥宏
Outline • Introduction • Conventional Schemes • Proposed Scheme • Conclusions
Introduction • digital documents sanitizing problem • SUMI-4:cannot detect illegalsanitization by the sanitizer • Content Extraction Signatures(CES):sanitizer cannot change the sanitizing blocks, even if the disclosure policy has changed • can answer requests for flexible changes in the sanitized sections of a document
Overview of SUMI-4 Sign: M Random number Hash
Overview of SUMI-4 Sanitizing: H2 Random Number Hash • The sanitizer can freely sanitize every part of the document.
Proposed Scheme: Digital Document Flexible Sanitizing Scheme Trusted Third Party
Procedure for the Signer M Seed Hash
Procedure for Sanitizer H1 H2 Seed Hash Flags
Verification by Requester H1 H2 Hash Flags
Procedure for changed request TTP H1 H2 Hash Flags
Signature re-verification procedure H1 Hash Flags
Comparison of DDFS with SUMI-4 and CES • DDFS can handle requests to flexible change the sanitized blocks in a document without compromising security • the seed for random numbers is storedwith the documents, the stored data size is smaller compared to both SUMI-4 and CES. • the seed is managed safely with the publickey of the sanitizer in DDFS
Conclusions • They propose a digitally signeddocument flexible sanitizing scheme (DDFS) that cananswer requests for flexible changes in the sanitizedsections of a document without compromising security.
