  1. For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:11-12

  2. Rest & The Bible The measure of rest we enjoy will be directly related to the measure to which we believe and trust the Bible.

  3. Rest & The Bible • It’s Alive • The Bible is not an ordinary book – this is God’s word and when we read/listen to it we’re hearing God speak.

  4. For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:11-12

  5. We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, …… . Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. 2 Peter 1:19-21.
