GOES-R Product Definition and User’s GuideThe “PUG” – A Work In Progress • Volume 1 Excerpt (Main) Volume 5 Excerpt (L2+ CMI) All L2+ products come from ABI and GLM sensors… Volume 3 Excerpt (L1b ) Organization: The PUG document is currently in five Volumes… Advanced Baseline Imager (ABI) • Vol 1 - Main • Vol 2 - L0 Products • Vol 3 - L1b Products • Vol 4 – GOES-R Rebroadcast (GRB) • Vol 5 – L2(L2+) Products Purpose: Provide product descriptions, content and format to enable end-product usability; enhance uses and applicability of each end-product; support Government remote tele-training and public outreach. Geostationary Lighting Mapper (GLM) Note: All “non-product” data definitions (Instrument Calibration, Ancillary Data (ADRS AWG), Sample Outlier, etc.) will be described in Vol 1. Opportunity: Consider eventual conversion to web-based organization; allows a matrix approach to exploring product details with “drill-down” capability (search by product, by sensor, by algorithm, with increasing detail provided at lower/deeper levels).
