MAIN OBJECTIVES TO STRENGTHEN THE PROGRAMS BY INTRODUCING LARGER COMPONENT OF DESIGN AND COMPUTER USAGE AND APPLYING THE RECENT DEVELOPMENTS IN INSTRUCTIONAL SOFTWARE AND COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN. ADVANTAGES OF THE PROPOSED PROGRAM • Addition of 1 Hour for EE 409 & ICS 101 each. • Strengthen math and physics contents of the program. • Linear systems concepts are presented in EE 2xx. • A New course that covers probabilistic methods in electrical engineering EE 315 • New CIM elective. • Reduction of # Labs by 2 Labs. • New courses will emphasize design concepts & use of computers. • Satisfies the latest ABET requirements. • New electives to follow recent developments.
IMPLEMENTATION PLAN(Assuming the new curriculum is introduced in (961) • Students graduate according to the curriculum they enter by total credit hours. • EE 202 (old & new) will run in parallel for approx. 2 years. • EE 300 level courses are offered as per new description. • Old students are advised to take MATH 3xx as Tech. elective before taking EE 340, 380. • Offer MATH 3xx as MATH elective for old students. • All EE electives are to be offered according to new curriculum. • EE 315 is to be offered from (961). All students can take it instead of STAT 315. • New EE 202, 205 will be offered starting (972).
