Class Goals • To learn new skills and discover new interests. • To have fun and make new friends. • To give students the academic tools and behavioral strategies they need to succeed in 3rd grade and beyond. • To provide a learning environment that is supportive of the growth of all classmates.
Steps to ensure your child has a successful day! • Agenda • Homework • Take-home folder • Supplies • Snack
Communication • Agenda • Students are responsible for showing their parents their agenda for homework, projects, and upcoming tests. • There should be something written everyday. • Take home folder • Classroom Parent • Third Grade Website
Classroom Schedule This is what a typical day in our classroom looks like.
Classroom Community • Our classroom rules help us get along with each other: • Be respectful. • Be responsible • Be ready • Be organized and follow directions. • Be on time. • Be prepared. • Behavior Chart “Go for the Green” • 3 R Tickets.
Homework • Homework given on Monday will be due Wednesday. • Homework given on Wednesday will be due Friday. • They are encouraged to read a minimum of 20 minutes a day. • Students are encouraged to study their fast facts daily. • Late homework will not be accepted for credit. • There will be projects throughout the year.

Refresher on 3rd Grade & School Policies • School starts at 8:00 A.M. • First period class begins at 8:15 AM. • Running late? Check in at the Elementary office before coming to class. • Dismissal is at 2:45 PM. • Birthdays • Snacks / Water • Name on personal belongings • Replenish supply bags
