Our client needs a way for actual nutritional scientists to score foods and update advice. • Communicating with the client his • priorities for each feature • Figuring out how to model the • database to include ingredients and advice • Fixing the UI using bootstrap to • make it both user friendly and optimized for mobile use • Figuring out how and where to store images • Landing page to advertise • the product • Search engine to look up specific • foods and their advice. • Sign and login for different users • 5 different tiers of users for setting • scores, nutritional values, and just • browsing data. • Includes batch uploading from • spreadsheets • Food includes pictures, UPC code, • 3 different types of advice, and an • ingredients list • Used Rails to build app and Heroku to • run the application Solution: The Educomer Website We created a website that has a food database listing all ingredients, pictures, and advice added by select nutritional scientists. It is easy to browse through and look for select foods.
