4. http:\\sjcc.edu Short URL - http://sjcc.edu. You don’t have to type http://www.sjcc.edu. The home page contains Header and Homepage Flash, News & Information column which are updated frequently( 2 to 3 times a week). The homepage has 7 top navigation menu items, which expands to 70 submenus.

5. Home Page Links The side menu has 14 links. Footer has 3 links A powerful Search box powered by Google Search. In All a user can branch to 112 Sub pages / menus from home page.

6. Content Manageable Pages Means an authorized person can access and edit an existing webpage. Let us Check Faculty & Staff link From Home page , left menu >> Faculty and Staff http://sjcc.edu/Contact/facultyResource.html Faculty / Staff Info page Update More than one hundred source pages are content manageable. This in effect produce about 1500+ customized web pages.

8. Online Bio page • Use your Last name & Employee ID to login • “Click here to Modify / Update Info Online’ • This will open a form – Just edit the boxes and hit ‘Update Record’ button. The updated information will appear instantaneously on the website

9. Online Bio page • You may edit as many times as you wish • With out Photo, the page looks very dull. Please email webmaster your latest picture (jpg file) or stop by GE 118 , we will picture you. It takes about 5 minutes. • This page is one of the ‘Most Viewed ‘ page, hence good place to advertise your classes. • This page is also linked to your course on the On line Schedule • Viewer need not signup to view faculty bio page

10. SJCC Website We need more time to ‘show and tell’ various features of the SJCC website. Also faculty may be interested in knowing more on specific topics / pages. Webmaster is more than happy to organize training on the SJCC website for individuals or groups. Please contact / email webmaster.

SJCC Website • We have many unique features in our website • Most information are Dynamic, extracted from Datatel • SJCC website has 10,000+ html paged webbed together • We have a separate 1500 page Athletics website, which is unique. Schedule, Roster and Results are content manageable by respective coaches

12. SJCC website • We provide ‘Webfolders and ftp sites’ using a second server maintained by CTSS on SJCC campus. Faculty can directly manage contents of these folders themselves. • If you need a specific feature on the pages of interest to you, let us know we will do our best to meet your needs
