The students go in, choose the essay and then you see the score. • The following slides will show you step by step how this occurs, for the student, then the teacher…

  6. Log in

  7. Select Holt Online Essay Scoring

  8. Click Next

  9. Choose an Essay

  10. Say he did Expository, here are options… Let’s choose # 3

  11. And here’s where Winston will write his essay….

  12. Once the essay is done, Winston will click, Get my Score

  13. Unfortunately our Essay Scorer is a harsh grader….

  23. Notes of caution… • This is technology – something can and probably will go wrong (count on it). • Have your students write their essays in Word first and then cut and paste into the Online Essay Grader form. If they don’t, and there is a computer glitch, they will lose all they have done.
