  4. GPS Catamaran – IBIZA Campaign The main objective of the marine campaign is to check the value of Ibiza Island as a permanent calibration site in the western Mediterranean Sea, to complement the Corsica site in the network of altimeter calibration sites.

  5. Mean Sea Surface mapping The Ocean model MOG2D is a barotropic, time-stepping, non-linear model, derived from Lynch and Gray developed at the LEGOS/OMP, Toulouse, France. Mog2d finite element’s grid in the Ibiza region. Maximum spatial resolutions~ 3 km. Scale colors represents the bathymetry depth (m). Contour Map of the gridded GPS sea surface heights. Dashed lines represent the Jason-1 passes: ascending N°187 (SW – NE) and descending N°248 (NW – SE).
