  1. Teaching is like a ballet… Mikaela Kang

  2. The process and formation requires a lot of time and hard work, but when it is performed gracefully and correctly, the outcome is a beautiful expression of what people are passionate about.

  3. The choreographer is like the teacher…

  4. They must understand what techniques to use in order to properly put the ballet together and think up choreography just as teachers must think up lesson plans in order to teach the curriculum

  5. The dancers are like the students…

  6. They must listen to direction and work diligently in order to perform the task correctly but they also must use creativity to make it their own

  7. There are various moving parts and things to keep track of All the dancers must be in sync, just as the students, teachers, and administration must work together to provide a proper education

  8. The stage is like the classroom… It provides a space for the dancers to work hard and show all the progress they have made. Mistakes sometimes occur, but all they can do is hold their head up and keep performing.

  9. The audience is like the parents…

  10. They closely watch and keep track of the dancers but enjoy the beautiful process.
