  3. Italian verbs come in three different forms, they end in either: -are -ere -ire Per esempio: Parlare – to speak Credere – to believe Partire – to leave

  4. Esercizio uno: Usando il dizionario, cercate per 3 o piu` verbi!!!!

  5. Esempio: Parlare – to speak To change this verb into meaning: I speak, you speak, he/she speaks etc we change the verb into the following forms: Io = I Tu = you (sing) Lui/lei = he/she Noi = we Voi = you (plural) Loro = them

  6. parlare – (to speak) (io) (tu) (lui/lei) (noi) (voi) (loro) o i a iamo ate ano I speak You speak He/she speaks We speak You (pl) speak They speak parl parl parl parl parl parl

  7. credere – (to believe) o i e iamo ete ono (io) (tu) (lui/lei) (noi) (voi) (loro) cred cred cred cred cred cred

  8. Scrivete l’inglese!!!!

  9. partire – (to leave) o i e iamo ite ono (io) (tu) (lui/lei) (noi) (voi) (loro) part part part part part part

  11. VERBS ENDING IN: (io) (tu) (lui/lei) (noi) (voi) (loro) -ARE o i a iamo ate ano -ERE o i e iamo ete ono -IRE o i e iamo ite ono

  12. Circle the differences in the endings!!!!! Trovate le differenze!!!!

  15. I eat pasta for dinner. • Break it down: • Look for the verb “eat” (remember it must end in are,ere or ire). • Then change into the appropriate form • Find the rest of the words in the dictionary or back of ecco book. • Finito Mangio pasta per cena.

  17. With the words you found earlier, Mettete tutte le forme; io, tu, lui/lei, noi, voi e loro!!!! Then if you’re up for the challenge – put them into small sentences!!!!
