  2. Vocabulary • The vertex is the point where the two rays meet. • Right angle: an angle that measures 90° • Acute angle: an angle that measures less than 90° • Obtuse angle: an angle that measures greater than 90° • Straight angle: an angle that measures exactly 180°

  3. Vocabulary • Vertical angles: two angles are vertical if they are opposite angles formed by the intersection of two lines. Vertical angles are congruent or have the same measure. • Adjacent angles: two angles are adjacent if they share a common vertex, a common side, and do not overlap.
