  2. Mockery in the Last Days 2 Peter 3:1-7 False teachers are dangerous - the blind leading the blind into the pit - substituting the truth with error. The best protection is being able to discern the truth for yourself by learning the truth When truth is well known, any variation from it is easily recognized as false

  3. A Reminder to Remember 2 Peter 3:1-2 “Sincere minds” = sunlight opinion. Fully exposed and found to be pure. Proverbs 18:17 - You must keep a discerning mind Do you keep a discerning mind? “Stirring up” - motivating to active diligence to pursue the truth

  4. A Reminder to Remember 2 Peter 3:1-2 The Bible is the basis for belief - 1 Peter 1:16f Remember Old Testament & its prophecies - 1 Cor. 10:11; 1 Peter 1:20-21, Deut. 18:20-22 Remember the commandments of our Lord Jesus Christ and keep them - John 14:21

  5. Foolish Mocking 2 Peter 3:3-4 Foolish according to Psalm 14:1 The reference to “creation” does not mean they believe Biblical creation or even in a creator being. They mock the promise of His coming - Old & New Testament prophecies Jeremiah 30:3 Isaiah 13:9-13

  8. Forgetful Mockery 2 Peter 3:5-6 They do not lack evidence of God’s faithfulness to His promises They are foolish & ignorant in their mockery because they desire to be so. They willfully ignore the word of God & the evidence of the Genesis flood

  19. Are you a mocker? You need to repent Are you one of the deceived? You need to grow in truth Are you a follower of Jesus Christ? Rejoice in the reminder of truth, your salvation in Him & tell others
