  3. What needs does it fulfill? • Increase Employment • Increase in popularity • Increase in revenue • Increase in retail districts • Increased Funding • Encourage Community Participation • Increase in Population

  4. How is it Vital? • Population in 2000- 1,500 people • Population in 2010- 1,916 people increase of +27.7% • Estimated Population in 2013-14- Double the increased population so between 400-800 people. -example: community college

  5. Staff • Architect • Plumbers • Construction • Engineers

  6. Partnership • St. Louis Police Department • Mayor • The Bank • Community (employees)

  7. Money? This development will make money by: • Uniting the community • Encouraging volunteer efforts • Special Events - Walk of fame -Free Concerts in the Park • Reinvestments/ investments back into the community • Government grants for parks -Urban Green Space Program

  8. Life Improvements • Current residents • Job opportunities: -Neighborhood Trying to decrease the unemployment rate from 12.7% • Surrounding areas • Better neighborhood • Increase in business activity

  9. How Much Land? • The whole Old North Saint Louis - Because we are teaming up with different housing projects, but our projects destination is listened below. START: Jackson Place Park, West of Market St. STOP: North Florissant Ave

  10. $$$ • 35 million dollars at the most for the project • Funding: -government grants -government bonds -bank loans -business investments
