OPIOID TRAINING “OH—PEE—OYD” OYD! • Beginning 2016, all licensed physicians must complete mandatory Opioid Training (online module) in order to renew license, or become licensed. • Complete before 1/31/2016 for all renewals that year • Will clarify on date requirement for new licensees • Currently, only approved training in Utah is through UMA • About 3 hours of training—about $30 • Working on finding other options; will keep advised • Will remind again
IMG Eligibility • ECFMG Certification • PGY1-- passed USMLE Step 1, Step 2CK, Step 2CK • PGY2 -- passed above exams plus Step 3 • PGY2 -- if no prior US training, not eligible for license; program must apply for exemption • Must obtain J1 Clinical visa • J1 Clinical visa -- no faculty appointments, no moonlighting, no billing • See Policy GME 15.1
