  1. Highlander JROTC Newsletter October The highlander teams preparing for our first competition of the year Saturday October 06, 2012. Color Guard practice for inspection and the marching sequence, PT is conditioning themselves for the physical fitness challenge and the Armed Drill Team practicing for their inspection. Happy Halloween

  2. Blood Drive JROTC at Highlands High School will be sponsoring the Blood Drive October 4, 2012. Come by and donate for those who need it. You can donate Whole blood or donate Double Red Cells, get a T-shirt if you donated.

  3. Highlands Vs. Lanier Friday October 5th the JROTC witnessed a spectacular game against Lanier. Sadly we lost to them 28 to 24. Through out the game cadets were dancing and cheering the team for a Victory. The Highlander JROTC staff met with Lanier's JROTC staff and introduced them to the cadets that were there at the game with us. The cadets had a lot of fun at the game and on the way back, we called cadences at the request of several cadets. Hector Geronimo • C/1SG Rogelio Carmona • C/SFC Jesse Esquivel • C/SSG Julian Vega • C/SG Brandy Medina • C/SG Thomas Wilson • C/SG Oscar Idrogo • C/SG Enrique Trevino • C/SG Veronica Nunez • C/CPL Genesis Granado • C/CPL John Martinez • C/CPL Karen Rodriguez • C/ Aaron Jasso • C/ Jessalyn Gonzalez • C/ Logan Stephon Saturday October 06, 2012. Armed Drill Team had their inspection in the morning. C/2Lt. Adam Guzman marched the drill team onto the drill area and prepared the team for inspection. The male Color Guard march onto their inspection and marching area. The male color guard performed the sequence they were given and Commanding the male Color Guard was C/CPT. Reymundo Ramon. Physical Training team competed last of all teams. Starting with push-ups, sit-ups and finishing with the One-Mile relay. Both team completed their task at Edison High School and are looking forward to the next competition at John Marshal High School.
