  3. NAs lobbying contacts • Austria • RSIC Committee representative is Mr. E. Binder from the MoT • VPI-A has regular contacts to the MoT personel including Mr. Binder • The Economic Chamber is the official entity involved in the flow of relevant information on national level and thus VPI-A must also have good contacts there • The NSA coordinates are: • BMVIT, Sektion IV, Abt. DBIS (NSA ) is involved, but presently post of the head is vacant (new head should be nominated in September/October, but not known yet). BEWAG must built up the contact with the new person. • There is a „round“ table (sector and MoT) that meets 3/year plus special meetings on special topics • Over all the relations are good 21-11-2012

  5. NAs lobbying contacts • Czech Republic • RSIC Committee representative from MoT is Mr. Kusmer. • No official meetings but good informational contact 21-11-2012

  6. NAs lobbying contacts • France • RSIC Committee representative from MoT is Mr. B. Chevallier and Ms A. San-Martin. • There is an unofficial mirror group preparing/reviewing RISC (MoT, SNCF, AFWP,...) • Over all the decisions taken in the unofficial group are „reliable“ 21-11-2012

  7. NAs lobbying contacts • Germany • RSIC Committee representative from MoT is Mr Neuhöfer, supported by EBA (NSA). Because of partial lack of capacity and experts in theMoT, EBA has often the lead. • There is a steering circle (sector and MoT/NSA) that meets 2-3 weeks before RISC, but it is difficult to influence against EBA. • In additon, round table with EBA 1/year plus regular contacts on working level 21-11-2012

NAs lobbying contacts • UK • RISCCommittee representative fromDfT (Department for Transport) isRobin Groth • Nb. previousrepresentative Chris Carr hasleftthe UK DfTtotakeuptheroleof Head ofSafetyat ERA (witheffectfrom 15th November 2012) • There are regular consultations of the sector from theDfTandORR (the NSA)as well as lots of meetings where open discussions take place. • UK position „by nature“ often not compatible with continental Europe. 21-11-2012

NAs lobbying contacts • Italy • RSIC Committee representative from MoT is Mr Morandy supported by NSA. • Recently a „round“ table (RU, ASSOFERR and MoT) was established, which meets 1-2 weeks before RISC. The goal is to extend the table to all sector stakeholders • ASSOFERR`s influence should be growing

  13. NAs lobbying contacts • Sweden • RSIC Committee representative from MoT. • There are regular meetings of SPF with MoT as well as an „open“ table of the sector stakeholders • Over all the relations are excellent 21-11-2012

  14. NAs lobbying contacts • Switzerland • No RSIC seat • VAP with excellent contacts to MoT and all relevant authorities • VAP needs input from UIP and its members in order to implement EU ideas into national Swiss regulation in order to be compatible witt the EU 21-11-2012
