OUTLINE OF ESSAY • Introduction ; problem statement ; solution ; state which 2 one world factors you will focus on • Science ; explain how is science applied to make the solution ; its effectiveness • Factor A ; one advantage (preferably 2) ; one disadvantage (preferably 2) • Factor B ; one advantage (preferably 2) ; one disadvantage (preferably 2) • Conclusion ; Overall statement- state whether it’s a good solution
PROBLEM STATEMENT • A statement to define a problem • Eg. • Note: This is NOT the main focus of the essay
SOLUTION • The scientific solution that is used to overcome the problem. • Eg. • Note: This is the main focus of the essay
SCIENCE • Explanation of how the solution is made • Eg. • Note: Use scientific words to explain
ONE-WORLD FACTORS • Social- defined as “of or pertaining to the life, welfare, and relations of human beings in a community.” eg. Hazardous chemicals, death rates, preventions, social health • Economical- defined as “pertaining to the production, distribution, and use of income, wealth, and commodities.” eg. Jobs created, cost, production. • Environmental- is defined as “of, relating to, or associated with the environment.” eg. Living environments, ecosystems, water bodies, pollution
CONCLUSION • Formulate your own opinion on the effectiveness of solution: A) Inject your own thoughts B) Make a stand ; is it a good solution? C) What can be done to overcome the disadvantages?
