  1. “A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new” Albert Einstein “We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them” By: Miranda, BreAnna, and Caitlin

  2. Biography • Birth name: Albert Einstein • Born: March 14, 1879 in Ulm, Wurttemberg, Germany • Died: April 18, 1955 (age 76) in Princeton, New Jersey, U.S. • Spouse (s): MilevaMaric (1875-1948) Elsa Einstein (1876-1936) • Children: Eduard Einstein (1910-1965) Hans Albert Einstein (born in 1904)

  3. Biography • He was curious about understanding the mysteries of science • He played violin and piano • He then had his “miracle year” and published four research papers • He finished his general Theory of Relativity • He moved to Italy, Switzerland and then graduated in 1896. • Albert was then awarded a Nobel Prize in physics in 1922 • He then moved to the United States

  4. E=mc^2 • One of his well know accomplishments • You multiply the mass by the square of the speed of light. • This number of being 300,000,000 meters per second • E=Mc^2= 11 x 300,000,000 x 300,000,000 = 10,000,000,000,000,000 joules • E=energy • M=mass(kg) • C=constant(m/s)

  5. Theory of Relativity • One great achievement • What would happen to our world, if we could travel very fast • While a person travels to space, they look younger than a person on Earth

  6. AtomicBomb • First bomb was nicknamed “Little Boy” • Einstein didn’t invent the bomb, but it was invented because of his theory. (E=mc2) • The Relativity Theory proved that mass could changed directly into energy. • Einstein didn’t even know about the bomb at the time. • Einstein had no idea that his equation was going to be used in the making of a bomb

  7. FunFacts! • When Albert was born, he had a extremely large head, which lead the doctors to have a concern he was mentally challenged. • By the age 12, he wanted to learn everything about algebra and geometry. In just one summer, he mastered them both. • Albert’s natural hair color was black, but of old age, it turn white. • He won his Nobel Prize for the photoelectric effect. • He didn’t learn to talk until he was 2 or 3 years old.

  8. FunFacts! • He was very good at math. He even considered being a mathematician. • When Albert died, his brain as removed a preserved in Wichita, Kansas. • Albert wasn’t present in December 1922 to receive the Nobel Prize in Physics, because he was on a voyage to Japan. • His second wife was his first cousin! • He had an illegitimate daughter- Lieserl

  9. FunFacts! • Two aspects that Albert appreciated most, were music and nature. • Albert received a compass from his dad for his birthday at age 5. This changed his life because it aroused his curiosity unknown. The compass always pointed North, it was some unseen forced which sparked his want to know more. • Two of Albert’s least favorite things were haircuts and socks • Einstein named his violin ‘Lina’. • Hitler considered him as public enemy number one.

  10. Other Examples of his Work • Ph.D • Brownian Motron • Photoelectric Effect • Why is the sky blue? • Bose-Einstein Condensate • Einstein Refridgerator

  11. Where can we see it now? • In classrooms • In math • In science • When we look outside today, the sky is blue! • In a museum
