  11. Common Job Stressors • Constant interruptions • Work overload • Complex paperwork • Lack of control • Continuous changes in regulations and/or policies • Upset, confused or angry students/parents

  12. Causes of Job Stress • Excessive workload • Long hours and low pay • Tedious tasks • High performance demands • Poor communications

  13. Upset Students/Parents • Respect the student/parent • Identify problems/issues • Be honest about mistakes • Suggest solutions/alternatives
