What We Provide • Access to campus and curriculum • Reasonable accommodation; not modification • Student advocacy and training • Student referrals • Access to assistive technology • Faculty, staff, student leader training
Our Students • Undergraduate, Graduate (CAS, SBS) • Types of students with disabilities we typically Serve • ADD/ADHD • Learning Disabilities • Anxiety, Depression, OCD, Bi-polar • Sensory Disabilities • Autism Spectrum Disorders • Physical Disabilities • Medical and Chronic Health Conditions
Receiving Support Through ODS • Students submit most recent documentation • Students schedule an intake appointment • During intake, discuss and determine accommodations • Student presents accommodation letter to faculty • Students advocate for accommodations as needed • Students renew accommodations every semester
Examples of Commonly Provided Accommodations* • Extended test time/Distraction-reduced • Exam proctoring • Assistance with note-taking • Assistive technology • Alternative format materials • Priority registration * Reminder: ODS does not provide modifications to academic standards or University policy
