Certification Levels • Level I - Certified EMIS Professional (CEP) • Level II - Master Certified EMIS Professional Endorsement (MCEP) • Level III - Data Manager Endorsement (DM) 05.2013
Level – Certified EMIS Professional (CEP) To obtain a Certified EMIS Professional (CEP), an EMIS Professional must: • Fulfill the Years of Service requirement • Be a Professional Member of OAEP • Submit the CEP application, Professional Development workbook, supporting documentation and application fee by the due date • Successfully complete the CEP assessment with an 80% passing rate • Years of Service: • Minimum 3 years EMIS experience 05.2013
Level I - CEP IPDP (Maintenance) To maintain your Certified EMIS Professional (CEP), an EMIS Professional must: • Hold a Certified EMIS Professional (CEP) • Be an active continuous Professional OAEP member • Submit the CEP IPDP Application, CEP IPDP Form and application fee by the due date • Complete and submit the CEP IPDP Activity Proposal/ Activity Verification Forms which align to the identified goals on the IPDP • IPDP will consist of 20 CEU hours per year, totaling 60 CEU hours over a three year period 05.2013
Level II – Master Certified EMIS Professional Endorsement (MCEP) To obtain the MCEP Endorsement to the Certified EMIS Professional (CEP), an EMIS Professional must: • Hold a Certified EMIS Professional (CEP) • Fulfill the Years of Service requirement • Be an active continuous Professional OAEP member • Submit the MCEP Endorsement Application, CEP IPDP Form and application fee by the due date • Successfully complete the OAEP MCEP Endorsement Project with an 80% passing rate • Years of Service: • Minimum 6 years EMIS experience 05.2013
Level II – MCEP IPDP (Maintenance) To maintain your MCEP Endorsement, an EMIS Professional must: • Hold a Certified EMIS Professional (CEP) with the MCEP Endorsement • Be an active continuous Professional OAEP member • Submit the MCEP Endorsement Application, MCEP Endorsement IPDP Form and application fee by the due date • Complete and submit the MCEP Endorsement IPDP Activity Proposal/ Activity Verification Forms which align to the identified goals on the IPDP • IPDP will consist of 20 CEU hours per year, totaling 60 CEU hours over a three year period 05.2013
Level III – Data Manager Endorsement (DM) To obtain the Data Manager Endorsement (DM) to the Certified EMIS Professional (CEP), an EMIS Professional must: • Fulfill the Years of Service requirement • Be a Professional Member of OAEP • Hold a Certified EMIS Professional (CEP) with a MCEP Endorsement • Or have a BA and no less than three (3) years experience with EMIS Reporting • EMIS experience to be within five (5) years of the Data Manager application date • A letter from a *district administrator validating EMIS Reporting experience. (*Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, HR Director or Treasurer) • Submit the Data Manager Endorsement Application, MCEP Endorsement IPDP Form, supporting documentation and application fee by the due date • Years of Service: • Minimum 6 years EMIS experience 05.2013
Level III – DM IPDP • To maintain your Data Manager Endorsement (DM), an EMIS Professional must: • Hold a Certified EMIS Professional (CEP) with the Data Manager Endorsement (DM) • Be an active continuous Professional OAEP member • Submit the Data Manager Endorsement Application, Data Manager Endorsement IPDP Form and application fee by the due date • Complete and submit the Data Manager Endorsement IPDP Activity Proposal/ Activity Verification Forms which align to the identified goals on the IPDP • IPDP will consist of 30 CEU hours per year with 10 CEU hours concentrated in Data Accountability, totaling 90 CEU hours over a three year period 05.2013
