Animals in the ocean • Unlike some animals octopuses can blend in with their surroundings to help kill their prey. • Some animals like the blue whale only eat little tiny animals called krill. • Some animals are prey and they get hunted usually by bigger animals. • Meat is food to animals called carnivores.
Plants in the ocean • Plants in the ocean are fed by photosynthesis that is food they produce themselves. • Most plants in the ocean are covered in algae or bacteria. • Plants are food to herbivores they only eat plants

Prey in the ocean • A prey is what gets killed for food • An octopus grabs his prey with his tentacles and suffocates it and then eats it. • A lot of animals blend in with their surroundings to help kill their prey. • Scavengers are animals that go around and eat the leftovers of what other animals have already killed.
